Many school owners are now around the 65 mark and, notwithstanding Governmental guidelines that they should retire many years later, they would rather like to see the world sooner.

Baby Boomer school owners have decided it’s a good time to sell.  It’s also a good time to buy.  Most of our clients are determined that their schools will go into suitable and sympathetic hands and many will offer to stay on board for a term or half a term, just to help the new owner learn the ropes and make an easy transition.

Most of our enquiries lately are coming from abroad.  Arab Emirates, China, India, America, Pakistan … all places where UK education is admired and valued.  Yes, we do still get enquiries from the UK – never before have they been in the minority though.

One cheerful trend here is that more teachers are wanting their own schools.  They have reached a certain point in their careers, know they can run a successful school – and want to do it for themselves  This desire coincides with a helpful inheritance … and a new life begins.
