Are Free Schools really working?

According to the excellent ‘i’ newspaper (20 pence and no propaganda) Michael Gove is now the most unpopular Minister of Education since Kenneth Baker – and the teachers say they will go on strike if there is any more pressure to convert to ‘Academies’.  How will this latest revolution end up, one wonders?  And are Free Schools really working?  We’d love to know.
