So how do I buy a school?

• First we ask for something we call a Search Agreement. This combines your brief to us on what you want and what your budget is.
• Secondly and equally important we ask on behalf of the vendor for specific details such as your funding, references and full company and personal background . Everything you would want to know if you were selling your own business, in other words. Schools and colleges are very personal businesses, often built up over a lifetime of care, and their owners usually want to leave them in the right hands as well as getting the right price.
• Buyers who provide sketchy or incomplete information usually come up against silence – as our vendors will not proceed.
• Our Search Agreement also acts as a watertight, court-tested undertaking on confidentiality. Every phrase is there for a reason and we do not act altered agreements in any circumstances. It would not be in our clients’ best interests nor STC’s.
